DEALER TRAINING CLASSES

This two-day training session focuses on selling the StarSystem and will cover business related processes including detailed Quote Calculator training, product and service overview, sales and marketing support, a technical overview of the Star2Star End-to-End Architecture, pre/post sales engineering support, ordering, number porting, finance policies and procedures, product overview of VOA circuits, Dealer Portal access and StarPedia resource library and a tour of our Tier 3 Data Center. During these sessions, you will also learn about the pre-installation survey, the configuration and implementation process of a working StarSystem, the basics of using the Star2Star portal for monitoring, creating the customer application, end-user training, customer service and technical support functions. After completing this course, you will have sufficient understanding of our unique architecture and processes to effectively sell the Star2Star solution. Students will take a certification test, requiring an 80% or greater score to achieve full certification.

2-day Dealer Training

Required: This is a 2 day training session. Attendees are required to attend both days. Laptops are encouraged. Laptops should have Macromedia Flash installed be able to download and view .pdf files. Please disable the wireless feature when attending the training session as a wired internet connection will be available. Please have your Star2Star Dealer Portal access credentials available. Prior to taking the course please log in to the Star2Star Portal and take the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the portal layout as we will refer to this extensively during the training sessions. If you do not have a log in ID and password please contact your Star2Star sales representative.

Note: A comprehensive Technical Training course will be conducted separately and made available in an online format for installation technicians and is required for any dealers wishing to install their own systems. Students will take a certification test upon completion of Technical Training requiring an 80% or greater score to achieve full certification. Each dealer will be provided with instructions on how to register your technical staff for system installation, application and end-user training. Owners will also be informed of online training for sales agents, online training for installation technicians, and a separate two day training for business applications / advanced configuration. The two-day Business Applications / Advanced Configuration Training is required for any dealers wishing to configure their own systems upon installation. Upon completion of this course there will be a certification test requiring a score of 80% or greater to achieve certification.
